Beatings, Whipping, and Burns; Child’s Toe in Sabzevar Amputated Due to Multiple Abuses

Two toes of Danial, a child who was abused by his father and stepmother in Sabzevar in recent days, were amputated during surgery as determined by his treating physician. Danial’s father and stepmother subjected him to multiple forms of abuse including beatings, whipping, pouring boiling water on his feet, and burning his body with a hot fork and lighter. The perpetrators of the child’s abuse were arrested in recent days following an order by the Sabzevar prosecutor.

According to Hrana news agency, citing RONA, on Friday, March 27, 2021, 9-year-old Danial lost two toes on his foot as a result of abuse by his father and stepmother.

Based on this report and according to the statements of this child’s uncle, Danial’s father and stepmother would take him to the bathhouse and place his feet in boiling water and pull his hair. Additionally, burn marks are visible on Danial from his shoulders to his chest.

He continued: They would beat Danial with a hose in cooperation with each other and torture him with a hot fork, whip, and lighter.

This child was handed over to his father nine months ago according to law and from June of this year until a few days ago was subjected to abuse and torment in his home.

Sabzevar Criminal Investigation Police succeeded in arresting Danial’s stepmother and father some time after videos and photos of this child were circulated on social media.

Currently, this child is hospitalized at Shahid Beheshti Hospital in Sabzevar.
