Senior IRGC commanders express concern over the collapse of the system from within

Senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps expressed concern about the collapse of the system from within.

In recent months, during the nationwide protests that began in September 1401 with the killing of Mahsa Amini, a number of government forces, including the army, the Revolutionary Guard, and the Basij forces, have resigned from their posts and joined the people. Every day, the number of those who held positions and positions in the system and came to the streets to suppress the people but are now on the side of the people is increasing.

Iran International has now obtained documents from a secret meeting between senior IRGC commanders and security officials with Ali Khamenei on January 4, in which IRGC commanders expressed concern about the possibility of the regime collapsing from within.

Mojtaba Pourmohsen, an investigative journalist and political activist, has also prepared and published a report on this issue. Pourmohsen says in the report: “The unprecedented decline in the IRGC and the revelation of its plan to launch an artillery attack on the house of Ali Khamenei has shaken the regime. Six months after the Iranian people began their uprising against the Islamic Republic, a secret document confirmed previous reports of a decline in the ranks within the regime. On January 5, coinciding with the anniversary of Qassem Soleimani, 58 senior IRGC commanders and high-ranking security officials spoke in the presence of Ali Khamenei about the decline in ranks within the IRGC and the risk of the internal collapse of the Islamic Republic. According to a confidential letter obtained by The International, the IRGC’s Islamic commanders consider the public protests uncontrollable and say that the process of ideological decline within the IRGC is rapidly progressing.

In this meeting, Mahmoud Mohammadi Shahroudi, head of the Basij organization, said: "A large number of clerics have taken off their clerical robes in protest against the repression of the people, and some of the Basij forces have found a problem with their beliefs and have withdrawn from participating in the Basij."

Also, in a leaked audio file from the meeting, Qasem Qureshi, deputy head of the Basij organization, spoke with the directors of the security departments of state-run media outlets about the risk of a decline in the police forces.

Now, one after another, the commanders of the Revolutionary Guards are saying in the presence of Ali Khamenei that a massive collapse within the system has begun. Mohsen Karimi, the commander of the Ruhollah Guards in the central province, directly announced that many military forces have crossed over from the Islamic Republic and are preparing for an alternative system.

Gholamali Rashid, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya base, also said in the meeting: "A group of IRGC forces that have defected were disobeying orders and wanted to target the Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader's residence in the heart of Tehran with artillery fire."

"Abdollah Hajisadeghi," Khamenei's representative in the Revolutionary Guard, also gave shocking statistics regarding the 12 to 68 percent decline in the regime's forces.

Colonel Abbas Benaie Khairabadi, head of the Fars Fajr Corps Personnel Services Center, also stated in response to Khamenei: "A number of radio operators joined the people and during the protests, they were reporting the routes incorrectly and in their defense, they announced that they would not engage with the people. Even in the face of their arrest, they had smiles of satisfaction on their faces."

The commander of the Quds Force in Gilan, Mohammad Abdollahpour, has also said that the regime does not have the capacity to confront the protesting people and push them back, and according to him, perhaps only a miracle can reduce the people's power.

"People who have crossed the boundaries of courage in their revolutionary uprising against the Islamic Republic to such an extent that, according to the Minister of Intelligence, they have rendered all of the regime's classic plans for suppression ineffective."

The full 6-minute report of these confidential documents can be viewed below.

According to the disclosure of these confidential documents and reports by Mojtaba Pourmohsen, Ali Khamenei is now left alone and has no choice but to retreat.

If these protests remain strong, without the support of parliaments and opposition leaders, we will soon see a free Iranian.
