Exposing the murder of conscript Mehdi Farhangian by Kermanshah Intelligence Service

The murder of Mehdi Farhangian, a conscript resident of Sonqor, Kermanshah Province, carried out by intelligence agents, was revealed.

Mehdi Farhangian, son of Hamdollah, a resident of Sonqor Kilai County, Kermanshah Province, was murdered in suspicious circumstances in late December.

Mehdi was serving in the Sonqor Police Service Unit as a police station soldier, and was transferred to the Kermanshah Intelligence Protection Unit on December 13.

According to news published on social media, Mehdi was in contact with his family until 10 p.m. on the same day he was transferred to the Intelligence Protection Unit. However, the next morning, his family was contacted and told his parents that Mehdi had fallen from the bed and asked them to go to the hospital.

After visiting Taleghani Hospital in Kermanshah, Farhangian's family was confronted with Mehdi's lifeless body wrapped in a shroud. According to Mehdi's family, his body had been slit open from the ear to the navel and stitched back together.

As usual, the regime's security forces pressure and threaten the Farhangian family by obtaining a commitment letter, ordering them to secretly bury their son's body without informing them or wasting time, and if they refuse, they will not hand over Mehdi's body.

When Mehdi's family transferred their son's body to the Songor mausoleum, while washing his lifeless body, they noticed a fracture on the back of Mehdi's head, which was filled with plaster and showed no signs of a gunshot wound.

This is despite the fact that the Kermanshah Intelligence Protection Department had declared Mehdi's death a suicide, even though, according to the rules, he had not been given a weapon on the first day he was transferred to the Intelligence Protection Unit. Meanwhile, Mehdi's death certificate states that the cause of death was a collision with hard or sharp objects.

When Mehdi's family requested CCTV footage to prove their son's suicide, they stated that the location had no cameras, even though all data protection points had CCTV cameras.

The regime's intelligence agencies had claimed that Mehdi committed suicide by shooting himself in the stomach, but Farhangian's family, upon seeing their son's body, stated that if he committed suicide by shooting himself in the stomach with three bullets, then why was there a laceration on the back of his head caused by the impact and no sign of a bullet exiting his back?

Another question that has been raised is why, if suicide occurred, Mehdi's body was torn from his ear to his navel and then stitched up.

According to the statements of Mehdi's relatives and friends, he was very spirited, courageous, and free from any physical or mental illness and without any depression. He wanted to finish his military service so that he could be a support for his father and help his family. It should be noted that Mehdi's father was a worker in the municipality of Sonqor and his financial situation was not good.

Mehdi's relatives also announced: "Mehdi was a young freedom-loving and supporter of the revolution of women, life, and freedom. Given our knowledge of Mehdi's spirit, we consider the claims of the regime's intelligence agencies about Mehdi's suicide to be completely impossible and false."
Some speculations among those around him indicate that Mehdi was murdered due to ideological differences with elements of the Intelligence Protection Department, and considering the condition of Mehdi's dismembered body and the plaster filling his head, it is possible that his body parts were removed from his body after the murder for sale.

Farhangian's family is still pursuing the murder of their son, while officials from the system's judicial and security institutions, as usual, are not always willing to provide a transparent response to this crime.
