Bijan Farrokhpour, a Christian convert, went to Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz to serve his sentence.

Seyyed Bijan Farrokhpour Haghighi, a Christian convert from Shiraz, reported to the city's Adel Abad Prison to serve his prison sentence.

According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, Seyyed Bijan Farrokhpour Haghighi, a Christian convert, presented himself to Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz on February 2 to serve a sentence of 2 years and six months in prison.

This Christian convert was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on charges of "acting against national security through gathering, collusion, and preaching Christianity."

It is worth recalling that Mohammad Roghangir, Masoud Rezaei, Mehdi Ameroni, Bijan Farrokhpour Haghighi, Shahin Lahoti, Soroush Saraei, Esnakar Rezaei, and Roxana Foroughi were Christian converts who were members of a network of churches known as the "Church of Iran" and were arrested on October 11, 2012, following a raid by security agents on a home prayer meeting in Shiraz.

All eight people were released after posting heavy bail until the trial.

Ultimately, the members of this group were sentenced to a total of 24 years in prison by the Shiraz Revolutionary Court in the first instance on Tuesday, July 15, 2013.
