Argentine Pope's football advice to Milan and Juventus players
The Argentine leader of the world's Catholics received players, coaches and family members of the two Italian football league finalists at the Vatican on Friday, praying for them and offering them advice.
Pope Francis, who is a passionate football fan and a long-time supporter of the San Lorenzo team from Buenos Aires, told both AC Milan and Juventus that they must always adhere to the positive values of sport: harmony, trust, friendship and dialogue.
Pope Francis is said to have a large collection of football shirts that were donated to him. He also often meets footballers from around the world.
The final match of the Italian football league, Serie A, is scheduled to be held on Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, between these two popular teams.
