The families of Esmaeil Bakhshi and Sepideh Qolyan were summoned to the Intelligence Department.

According to reports, the families of Esmaeil Bakhshi, a representative of Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company workers, and Sepideh Gholian, a civil activist, have been summoned to the Susa City Intelligence Department.

Some human rights sources reported that today, Thursday, March 15, the Susa City Intelligence Department summoned the families of the two individuals and asked them not to provide information about the status of Esmaeil Bakhshi and Sepideh Qolyan.

In recent days, the family of Esmaeil Bakhshi had gathered in front of the Shusha Justice Department and demanded the release of this labor activist.

Esmael Bakhshi and Sepideh Qolyan were arrested in November of this year during protests by workers at the Haft Tappeh Sugar Company. After their release, the two announced that they had been tortured and forced to make “confessions” while in custody.

The two were arrested after the Islamic Republic Radio and Television broadcast a film of their confessions called "Burnt Design." Earlier, the independent Haft Tappeh Workers' Channel reported that the Ministry of Intelligence was preparing a televised confession from Esmaeil Bakhshi and Sepideh Qolyan.
