Donald Trump: I ended the windfall for the Revolutionary Guards

On Thursday, October 3, US President Donald Trump, signing the "National Counterterrorism Strategy," listed the United States' withdrawal from the nuclear deal with Iran, "which provided a windfall for the Revolutionary Guard Corps," as one of his achievements in this regard.
According to the White House website, Mr. Trump wrote in the introduction to the new US strategy for countering terrorism: "Under my administration, America's efforts to defeat terrorists have accelerated."
After referring to the defeat of ISIS in Iraq and Syria with its allies, the US president said: "I ended America's participation in the terrible deal with Iran. A deal that provided windfall wealth for the Revolutionary Guard Corps and its proxies and financed Iran's misbehavior around the world."
Emphasizing the importance of the "National Counterterrorism Strategy," he said: "We will use all the tools of American power to protect our great nation and defeat our enemies."

The 34-page text of this strategy mentions "terrorists affiliated with radical Islam," "Iran as the largest state sponsor of terrorism," and "other forms of terrorism" as the main threats facing the United States.
This strategy repeatedly mentions the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Quds Force, and names the IRGC's proxy groups, "most notably the Lebanese Hezbollah group," as threats to the United States, including "Iran's destabilization in the region and around the world," such as Iraq, Lebanon, the Palestinian territories, Syria, and Yemen.
George Bush and Barack Obama, two former US presidents, published their government's strategy for combating terrorism at the beginning of their presidency in 2006 and 2011.
Bolton: Iran is the global central bank of terrorism
John Bolton, the US President's National Security Advisor, also specifically mentioned Iran in explaining the country's new strategy to combat terrorism, calling the Islamic Republic "the global central bank for international terrorism."
Referring to US sanctions, especially the second round of sanctions that is set to be implemented on November 4, Mr. Bolton said: "The goal is to not grant any exceptions to other countries in purchasing oil from Iran, so that we can possibly reduce Tehran's oil sales to zero."
Iran has not yet responded to the statements of Donald Trump and his national security adviser.
