Prince Reza Pahlavi supported the protests of refinery and power plant workers

Prince Reza Pahlavi supported the nationwide protests of oil and gas industry workers in various cities in Iran and called on these protesters to maintain their solidarity.
He posted a text on Twitter addressed to the workers of refineries and power plants who have been protesting in various cities of Iran in recent days by joining the nationwide campaign "Twenty 1400", writing: "I am closely following your proud solidarity and unity in this widespread civil disobedience. Maintain this unity and solidarity until your rightful demands are achieved. Know that the Iranian nation is with you."
Over the past few days, a number of workers from the Tehran, Qeshm, Abadan, Behbahan, Gachsaran Petrochemical, and Bushehr refineries have held protest rallies demanding that their demands be addressed.
The main demands of the workers, whose protests began on June 11, are "increase in wages and payment of arrears," "elimination of intermediary contracting companies," "job security in the workplace," and the "twenty-day" plan, meaning 20 days of work and 10 days off.
This is not the first time that workers and employees of the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries in Iran have gone on strike. Earlier, Voice of America reported that in early June, a group of workers gathered in the cities of Tehran, Ahvaz, Assaluyeh, Mahshahr, Gachsaran, Abadan, Bahregan, Lavan, and the Abuzar oil field in Bushehr province to protest their employment and income conditions.
The Council for Organizing the Protests of Contractual Oil Workers also previously announced in a statement that, after a one-week strike with the aim of warning, contract workers will join the strike and protest of official oil workers starting on July 29.
