Mahabad city placed in red status
Videos and images published on social media show the red situation in the city of Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province.
Following the widespread protests that have taken place in all cities of Iran, the city of Mahabad is in a very bad and worrying situation.
In videos that have gone viral on social media, Iranian armed forces attacked the city with vehicles carrying weapons to disperse the protesters. The security forces have declared martial law with these weapons, not to mention that the anger of the people of Mahabad has been further inflamed and they will take to the streets without fear.
The people of Mahabad, ignoring the martial law declared by the IRGC, went to the 13th Police Station in Mahabad and surrounded it.
A little girl in Mahabad also posted a message on social media. The girl's words are as follows: The security forces were shooting at people in line at the bakery early in the morning to scare us. The situation in the city of Mahabad is red, if we want to take over the whole of West Azerbaijan, we are still few and we are not able to do it alone. Please, all the big cities, come out of your homes to support Mahabad. The security forces have deployed their helicopters in this city to scare us, but we only have stones to protect ourselves. The security forces have attacked people's cars and houses and destroyed people's property. We are waiting for your support, dear people of Iran.
The people of the city of Bukan in West Azerbaijan also took to the streets to support the people of Mahabad. However, the security forces of the Islamic Republic attacked the houses and destroyed many of the people's property in their homes, including cars and furniture.
The people of Mahabad issued a call, asking all cities in the country and fellow Kurds to take to the streets in support of Mahabad.
