Retired educators gather again in Tehran

A group of retired educators held a protest rally in front of the Ministry of Education on Wednesday, May 24.

These retirees held this rally in protest of not receiving a response to their demands, holding handwritten notes and placards demanding their bonuses and pension rights.

Previously, in late 2018, educators held several rallies to protest the failure to address their demands.

Among these demands was the provision of a value-added share of the Teachers' Reserve Fund for retirees.

In the wake of rising prices and the poor economic situation in Iran, protests from various sectors have increased significantly in recent months. However, these protests have sometimes been met with clashes by security and military forces.
