Donald Trump's Farewell Speech: Listing Accomplishments and Re-Praising Himself

A day before leaving the White House, Donald Trump praised his administration's achievements in his final address to the American nation, saying that during his tenure he had been able to restore "the greatness and pride of America."
Donald Trump's speech on Tuesday, January 19, will be his last official speech as president of the United States. Trump took the opportunity to praise himself again and talk about the great achievements of his term in office.
In this video message, Trump listed his administration's economic achievements as well as its successes in domestic and foreign policy, saying that his administration had been able to restore "American sovereignty" abroad and "American pride" at home.
Although Trump wished the incoming US administration success, he did not mention Joe Biden or Kamala Harris by name. In his 20-minute video message, Trump appealed to the new US administration: "The world respects us again. Please do not destroy that respect."
In another part of his video message, Trump said he prided himself on being the only US president in decades who has not started any new wars.
He also spoke of his government's success in combating the coronavirus, even as the number of coronavirus victims in the United States reached 400,000 on the day of the transfer of political power in the country.
It should be noted that in his video message, he also avoided admitting defeat in the election on November 3. Trump will not attend Joe Biden's inauguration.
