Hamas forces enter Israel while 5,000 rockets are fired

Hamas forces simultaneously launched 5,000 rockets into Israel, creating great tension in the region.

The Hamas group launched more than 5,000 rockets at Israel this morning, Saturday, October 7, and the group's paramilitary forces were able to cross the country's borders and enter Israeli territory by destroying the border fences between Israel and Palestine in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Defense Minister said that the Hamas militant group has launched a war against Israel, which he said Israel will win. The Israeli military also announced that dozens of Israeli warplanes are currently bombing Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip.

According to reports from the Red Star of David, the Israeli rescue service, more than 22 people were killed and 250 injured in the surprise attack.

Hamas' surprise attack on Israel came as Israel was celebrating the Jewish holidays of Sukkot and Simchat Torah. In the wake of the attacks, millions of Israelis were ordered to stay in bomb shelters in their homes and buildings.
