The 40th day of the martyrdom of dozens of Baloch and the call for action today, Wednesday
Today, Wednesday, November 9, marks the 40th day of the martyrdom of dozens of Baloch people who took to the streets against the rape of a Baloch girl by a soldier.
Today, the people of this city are crying out for a Balochistan that has been ignored for decades and denied everything. One of these dead is Khodanour Lajee, a happy and lively young woman, free from the problems of her city, dancing. Khodanour's dance and that photo of her tied to a pole are the height of contradiction and a complete mirror of the era we live in. The beautiful innocence of life, chained up, and now the repetition of her name screams out her legacy.
The people of Iran announced that today they have taken to the streets to demand justice for our oppressed compatriots in Zahedan and that we will not let their blood be spilled. This is a nationwide call for the people of all of Iran, and will be held in Tehran in particular.
The people of Iran, especially Tehran, declared that in no historical period have we looked at each other with such a large scale and with such closeness of heart. The government of the Islamic Republic wanted to scare us into separation, but they do not know that we have become blood brothers and sisters. Today, we have a brother, we ourselves in Tehran and other cities, our fortieth brother is in Sistan.
Today, we all stand with our Baloch brothers. We are standing with our lives to take back Iran, fighting so that we will no longer witness these injustices.
