Pastor Vervier Avanzian traveled to his eternal home

Rev. Vervier Avansian, a minister of the Congregational Church of Iran, nicknamed "the sweet voice of the gospel of Iran," passed away at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2017, in a hospital in Tehran.
Due to kidney failure, he had to undergo dialysis twice a week in recent years, and last month, after dialysis, he fell into a coma due to a technical malfunction of medical equipment at a government hospital.
On January 7, 2012 (Christmas), Verveer and his wife Rima, along with 60 members of the house churches he led, were arrested and spent 15 days in the infamous Evin Prison.
The staff of the FCNN News Network and all the servants of the Christian Organization 222, who are suffering away from Verviers, stand in solidarity with his wife, dear sister Rima, and their children Melanie, Risa, and Steve, and we pray that the Holy Spirit will meet all their needs and comfort them during these difficult days.
In the coming days, we will provide more information about the funeral and the life story of Reverend Vervier.
