Golrokh Iraei was transferred to the hospital as her hunger strike continued.

Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraei, a civil rights activist imprisoned in Iran who has been on a hunger strike for 61 days, has been transferred to a hospital outside the prison due to her deteriorating condition.
Based on news they have obtained from the prison, human rights organizations have stated that Golrokh Iraei's physical condition is very critical.
Ms. Iraei and Atena Daemi began their hunger strike on February 14 in protest of the illegal transfer from Evin to Qarchak. Atena Daemi later announced that she would end the hunger strike to fight for freedom, but Golrokh Iraei has continued her strike ever since.
Golrokh Iraei was sentenced to 3 years in prison on charges of writing an unpublished story in which she condemned the punishment of stoning.
Last month, Amnesty International issued a statement calling for the release of the two. Arash Sadeghi, Golrokh Iraei's husband, is also serving his sentence in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj.
