One step away from World War III

Vladimir Putin announced the outbreak of World War III in a statement.

"The only source of power in the country is the Russian people," Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting at his campaign headquarters in Moscow. "The vote of every citizen is important in charting the course of Moscow. While the country faces numerous challenges, the people will be able to fulfill their duty if they remain united."

Referring to the Russia-Ukraine war, he said: “The tragic events taking place in the border regions are forcing Russia to create a buffer zone in the areas controlled by Kiev in order to protect its people from Ukrainian attacks.” He continued: “I will do my best to solve the tasks set before the country and achieve the goals that we all consider to be of the highest priority. When we consider it appropriate, Russian forces will create a security zone that will be extremely difficult for an enemy armed mainly with foreign weapons to overcome.”

Stressing that Moscow has always been a supporter of peace talks, Putin continued: "As long as the opposition is serious about building good neighborly relations in the long term, not just because the enemy has run out of ammunition. Russia is ready to consider various scenarios, provided they align with national interests, but since Kiev has banned negotiations with the current leadership in Moscow and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not intend to hold elections, it requires a thorough investigation to even figure out who to negotiate with there."

Stressing that Moscow is well aware of the pressure from the US-led military bloc to deploy troops in Ukraine, he said: "I don't think anyone is interested in that. Volunteer soldiers from NATO countries face very bad prospects, and this does not bode well for them, because they will die there in large numbers. Anything is possible in the modern world, and World War III is one step away."
