US sanctions 13 foreign individuals and entities for their involvement in Iran's missile program

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that 13 foreign entities and individuals from countries such as China, Iraq, Russia, and Turkey were sanctioned in connection with Iran's missile program and for violating the "Iran, North Korea, and Syria Non-Proliferation Act."
The US Secretary of State said in the statement released on Tuesday, March 26, that the sanctions include five new sanctions against individuals and entities in China and Turkey for supporting Iran's missile program.
The statement said that companies such as "Lu Dingwen, Boding Shimatoyong Service Co., Ltd., Gaobidian Industrial Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Sanjiang Import and Export Co., Ltd." in China, and "Iren Carbon Graphite Industrial Trading Co., Ltd." in Turkey, are among the companies sanctioned.
According to the statement, the Chinese company Luo Dingwen also violated the law by transferring sensitive materials to Pakistan's missile program.
Mike Pompeo added that these sanctions follow a review of the non-proliferation program for weapons of mass destruction in Iran, North Korea, and Syria, and include 13 natural and legal persons.
The US Secretary of State said that this action is a sign that Iran's missile development program is a cause for concern and is in line with US efforts to use all means to prevent the advancement of Iran's missile capability.
