The dust crisis continues in Sistan and Baluchestan

The dust crisis in Sistan and Baluchestan province began in early July and continues.
According to officials in Sistan and Baluchestan province, 833 citizens were hospitalized in the northern cities of the province from July 21 to July 25 due to the intensification of the dust crisis and sandstorms. The governor of Zahak also announced that hundreds of villages were surrounded by sandstorms and called for the dispatch of relief forces to these areas.
Majid Mohebi, Director General of the Sistan and Baluchestan Governorate's Crisis Management Office, also reported on the respiratory, heart, and eye problems that have arisen for people as a result of the intensification of the dust crisis. He also announced that 833 people from the cities of Zabol, Zehak, Hamoon, Hirmand, and Nimroz were hospitalized in the wake of this severe wave of sandstorms in the northern cities of the province over the course of four days.
From July 11 to the present day, 1,010 people from the aforementioned areas have been admitted to hospitals and health centers. Of the total number of people referred to health centers, 848 were treated as outpatients and 162 are still hospitalized.
According to official statistics announced by the Director General of the Sistan and Baluchestan Governorate's Crisis Management Office, it was determined that within fifteen days (beginning of July until Thursday, July 15), the number of people who visited medical centers following the sandstorm reached 1,294.
Mohsen Heydari, the director general of the province's meteorology department, announced that from Thursday to the next few days, Zahedan and other central and southern regions of Sistan and Baluchestan province will also witness this dust and will face strong winds at some hours. He also mentioned the critical condition of the Zahedan-Zabol road and announced that the dust storm has reduced visibility on the Zahedan-Zabol road to a few meters.
