Saravan protests: At least three citizens arrested, including a 16-year-old teenager

On Tuesday, March 25, at least three protesting citizens, including a 16-year-old teenager, were arrested by security forces in connection with the Sarvan protests. Yesterday, a group of citizens in Saravan city gathered in front of the governor's office to protest the killing and wounding of a number of fuel workers. The protest turned violent when security forces intervened. The forces fired shotgun pellets and tear gas at the citizens, injuring a number of citizens.

According to HRANA News Agency, citing the Baloch Activists Campaign, on Tuesday, March 25, 2020, at least three citizens, including a teenager, were arrested by security forces in Saravan.

According to the report, the identities of these individuals are Mohammad Shahrsan Zehi, son of Kahmdad, Aziz Shahrsan Zehi, 16, son of Lohdad, from Mehristan County, and Mohammad Darzadeh, son of Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Dezak village in Saravan County.

There is no information yet on the whereabouts of these individuals.

It should be noted that yesterday, Tuesday, March 25, a group of citizens in Saravan city gathered in front of the city's governor's office to protest the killing and wounding of a number of fuel workers. The protest turned violent with the intervention of security forces, who opened fire (with shotgun pellets) and threw tear gas at the citizens, injuring a number of citizens.

On Monday, March 25, border guards in the border areas of Saravan city blocked the movement of a group of fuel tankers, and they gathered in front of the IRGC base in protest, but were met with gunfire from military forces. According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, at least 10 civilians were killed and 5 others were injured when these forces opened fire on a group of fuel tankers.
