Christian citizens gather in Stockholm to protest the presence of "Masoud Pezzekian" at the United Nations

Christian citizens living in Stockholm gathered to protest the presence of Masoud Pezzekian at the United Nations General Assembly meeting.
Iranian President Masoud Pezzekian delivered a speech at the 79th United Nations General Assembly last night, Tuesday, September 24. In his speech, he said: "Last year, my country's serving President Ebrahim Raisi spoke to you from this very rostrum. He was martyred in the service of the Iranian people, may his soul rest in peace. I am now speaking to you for the first time from the position of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Our people voted for the central slogan of national unity in electing me. This slogan is in accordance with the command of God Almighty in the Holy Quran."
In his speech, he referred to the mission of the prophets and the spread of truth and justice in society and added: "The mission of all prophets has been to establish and spread truth and justice in society among all human beings, regardless of color, race, gender, and language. Peace and security will not be established in the world unless the rights of all human beings, communities, and nations are respected within the framework of justice and fairness."
Now the question is: is the cause of the war and bloodshed that is taking place in the world today other than the fact that an aggressor has violated the rights of others, ignored the rights of a nation, practiced discrimination and inequality, kept a group weak and backward, and ignored the rights of others?
"As long as injustice, oppression, greed, poverty, and ignorance prevail in a region, war and bloodshed will continue. Until we address the roots of these disorders, we cannot save the future of our children from darkness and destruction."
Referring to his success in the presidential election by the people, Masoud Pezzekian added: "I entered the election campaign with a program based on reforms, national unity, constructive engagement with the world, and economic development, and I succeeded in gaining the trust of my compatriots at the ballot box."
"I intend to lay a solid foundation for my country's entry into a new era and a constructive and effective role in the emerging global system. I will remove obstacles and challenges and organize my country's relations based on the requirements and realities of today's world."
In his speech, he referred to the Israel-Gaza war last year and continued: "The people of the world have seen the nature of the Israeli regime in the past year. They have seen how the leaders of this regime commit crimes and in eleven months, they have killed more than 41,000 innocent people in Gaza, most of whom were innocent women and children; but they call genocide and infanticide, war crimes and state terrorism "legitimate defense"! And they call hospitals, kindergartens and schools "legitimate military targets"! Israel has also assassinated our scientists, diplomats and guests in our land and has supported ISIS and terrorist groups, covertly and openly.
"In contrast, Iran has supported liberation and popular movements that have been victims of the crimes and colonialism of the Israeli regime for four generations. We stand with the people of your countries who are demonstrating in the streets against Israel's actions and condemn the crime against humanity. The international community must immediately stop the violence and establish a permanent ceasefire as soon as possible, and stop Israel's insane brutality in Lebanon before it sets the region and the world on fire."
He also added that for the establishment and sustainability of peace, "The only way to end the 70-year nightmare of insecurity in West Asia and the world is to restore the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people. We propose that all Palestinian people, whether they are currently in their homeland or those who have been forced to leave their homes, determine their future in a nationwide referendum. We believe that such a mechanism can achieve lasting peace. Only in this way can Muslims, Jews, and Christians live together in a single land in peace and away from racism and apartheid."
Christian citizens living in Stockholm gathered in front of the Swedish Parliament to protest the presence of Massoud Pezzekian and his speech at the UN General Assembly yesterday. They said to Massoud Pezzekian: "Mr. Pezzekian, you are the president of the Islamic Republic regime, not the majority of the Iranian people. How can you talk about peace in the world when the regime's proxy forces are one of the most important reasons for war and insecurity in the region.
"When the Islamic Republic executes several people every year, imprisons thousands, and suppresses every protest with an iron fist, you have no place in the United Nations. You cannot cover up the regime's crimes."
In this rally, which was formed by Christian citizens in Stockholm, a number of non-Christian political activists in Stockholm also joined the protest rally.
