Changing the lives of young Americans through Bible study

The American Bible Society reported in a report that the lives of young Americans have been transformed by studying the Bible.
In its 2024 report, the American Bible Society reported on the impact of the Bible on young people's lives and how it changed their lives following a survey.
According to "Christianity Today," more than 2,500 American citizens of different backgrounds and ages participated in the survey. When asked whether studying the Bible had changed their lives, 58 percent of the participants responded that studying the Bible had a tremendous impact on their lives.
The survey, conducted in January of this year, is a one-percent increase from last year, according to the research. Fifty-four percent of members of the “Zoomer” generation, born between 1997 and 2012, said the Bible has changed their lives, up from 50 percent last year.
The Zoomer generation is a generation born into a technological age and a strange and difficult economic situation in the world, who are so dependent on the use of technology that it becomes impossible for them to live without it. John Farquhar Pleck, information director for the American Bible Society, said about the survey: “Our young people are passionate about the Bible and are allowing the Word of God to change their lives. If this trend continues, we can hope for a better future for this generation.”
Additionally, 69 percent of those born between 1946 and 1964 said that reading the Bible regularly has had a transformative impact on their lives, up from 64 percent last year.
