Twenty thousand marriages of girls and one thousand births of mothers under the age of 15 were registered.

The Iranian Statistical Center reported the registration of twenty thousand marriages of girls under the age of 15 and one thousand births of mothers under the age of 15.
Child marriage has long been a topic of discussion in society, especially in Iran, and has attracted many reactions in the media.
Although the Human Rights Commission of the Iranian Bar Association has always responded to the problem of child marriage in cities, especially villages, we still witness the marriage of children under the age of 15 every day.
Child marriage is a form of child abuse that has devastating effects on the body, mind, and future of children, and according to Article 1 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, it applies to all children under the age of 18. Unfortunately, in the Islamic Republic of Iran and according to Islamic tradition, girls are eligible for marriage from the age of 9, a problem that is seen in abundance in Iran.
Statistics published today, 17 Farvardin 1402 (Farwardin 1402), by the Statistical Center of Iran, show a deplorable report on this problem. According to these statistics, from the spring of 1401 to the fall, twenty thousand marriages for girls under 15 years of age and one thousand births for mothers under 15 years of age were registered in just 9 months. It should be noted that during the same period, 551 cases of divorce of girls under 15 years of age were registered.
Girls at this age, who are not yet ready to face the challenges of married life, are not only affecting their own future but also the future of their children when their families make the wrong decision to marry them early. They are starting a life that is not unlike sexual assault.
By issuing a permit for the marriage of underage girls and declaring it legal, the Islamic Republic proved that in Islamic tradition, girls under the age of 18 can be legally raped and the world can watch.
Child marriage not only affects girls and boys under the age of sexual and psychological maturity, the families formed by these marriages, and future generations of these marriages, but the publication of this news in cyberspace also affects the psyche of society and many children who are present in cyberspace.
Child marriage and allowing underage girls to recite the marriage sermon not only has psychological and physical consequences for the girls, but is also considered a great injustice and crime, because these girls have not yet reached the physical maturity to begin marital relations, and this act severely attacks them psychologically and they may experience an experience similar to sexual rape.
