Saudi coalition attacks Houthi positions and secret Revolutionary Guard site in Yemen

The Saudi-led military coalition announced airstrikes on Houthi positions in Sanaa. Reuters reported that one of the targets was a “secret” site belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The Saudi-led military coalition announced on Tuesday (November 30) an airstrike on “legitimate” Houthi military targets in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. Reuters writes that the targets included a secret Revolutionary Guard site. Civilians were urged not to gather near or around potential targets.

Al-Masirah TV, the main broadcaster of the Iran-allied Houthis, said that coalition forces carried out three airstrikes on Sanaa airport, but the fourth attack targeted a park.

The attacks are one of several that the coalition has carried out on the densely populated city of Sanaa this month.

The Houthis have also repeatedly targeted sensitive areas in Saudi Arabia with missile and drone attacks. The Yemen war is seen as a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
