Israel demands evacuation of civilians from Gaza Strip

The Israeli army called on civilians in the northern Gaza Strip to leave the area and go to the southern Gaza Strip.
It has been about a week since Hamas launched attacks on Israel, killing and wounding many people. Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip continue, and to this end, the Israeli army on Friday morning, October 13, asked about 1.1 million people in the northern Gaza Strip to leave their homes in the area and go to southern Gaza within 24 hours for their own safety. The Israeli army announced that the evacuation is for the safety of the people.
After announcing the aforementioned call to evacuate the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli army added: "Returning to the northern Gaza Strip is only possible after informing the army, and during the extensive operation being carried out in Gaza City, great efforts will be made to ensure that civilians are not harmed."
The United Nations, while expressing concern over the military's announcement, also reacted. "The United Nations strongly urges the withdrawal of such an order, as such a step would turn the current tragedy into a catastrophic situation," said Stephane Ducharme, spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
According to Stephane Ducharme, an evacuation of this scale, even within 24 hours, would have devastating humanitarian consequences.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has called on Israeli authorities to protect all civilians in UNRWA shelters for Palestinian refugees, including schools, while relocating international staff to the southern Gaza Strip for Palestinian refugees.
