Christian church leaders around the world call for an end to the war in Gaza

Christian church leaders around the world and some 69 aid organizations called for an end to the war in Gaza.

Aid organizations and Christian church leaders around the world have urged the British Prime Minister to call for an end to the war in Gaza, Redna reported.

The group, while condemning hate crimes against Muslims, issued a statement and announced that the war in Gaza was over, as Palestinian families in the region were being wiped out and were on the verge of complete destruction.

Noting that hatred against Muslims is undermining community cohesion and interfaith efforts, church and aid leaders wrote in the statement: “We write as religious leaders to say enough is enough. We cannot remain silent as we witness the destruction of families and generations in Gaza in an instant. We cannot stand by while Palestinian civilians in Gaza experience such catastrophic devastation and trauma.”

"When we hear of the hospitals, mosques, churches and schools damaged and destroyed in the war in Gaza, we weep with broken hearts. There is no safe place, no refuge and no escape in Gaza," the church leaders added in the statement.

Church leaders in England also stated that the relentless bombing, which has left horrific effects, and the Zionist regime's ground invasion of Gaza must end unconditionally.

In addition to church leaders and other aid agencies, Christian Relief also called on all world leaders to pressure Israel to immediately implement a complete and permanent ceasefire, stressing that this is the only serious option to prevent further civilian casualties in Gaza.
