Saeed Bayat's request for political asylum in Germany

Saeed Bayat, the former deputy political and security minister of the Islamic Republic, announced his request for political asylum in Germany.
According to published reports, Saeed Bayat, the former deputy political and security director of the Rey city governorship, who served as the governor of Robat Karim county under the Rouhani administration since 2016, has been applying for political asylum in Hamburg for about 8 months.
He was the governor of Robat Karim during the bloody November 2019 (Aban Khonine) and was the prime suspect in the deaths of people in Robat Karim. After the bloody November 2019 (Aban Khonine), he worked as the director general of nationals and immigrants affairs in the Tehran governorate, but was dismissed at the end of the Rouhani administration after his financial irregularities were exposed.
The reason for his asylum application to Germany is still unclear, but people reacted to his asylum application by saying, "He should definitely be prosecuted for the crimes he committed during the protests in December 2017 in the city of Rey and the bloody November 2019 in Rabat-e Karim."
