Reza Kianian: It is the right of women to not wear the hijab

At the ceremony honoring Attila Pesiani, Reza Kianian spoke about women's citizenship rights regarding not wearing the hijab.

At the 18th Directors' Night ceremony, which coincided with the tribute to Attila Pesiani, cinema actor Reza Kianian said in support of women and opposition to compulsory hijab: "We have different ways that we can go on stage that are consistent with the issue of women not wearing the hijab. No one can be forced to wear the hijab. It is the right of women to not wear the hijab as citizens."

He continued his speech by referring to many Hezbollah members in the world and said: "Our Hezbollah members cannot even come close to them, but they have thought of a solution in this regard, so we can also find a solution. Not only should we not empty the stage, but we must always keep the stage full. The government wants us to fail, but we must not leave the stage."

The issue of the hijab, which led to the killing of Mahsa Amini and the start of the Iranian popular revolution, is still a topic of discussion within the Islamic Republic and has further motivated all people to support the victory of this revolution, with the number of people joining the protest against the compulsory hijab increasing every day.
