The World Health Organization announced the highest daily record of coronavirus infections since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in the world.

According to the Associated Press, the World Health Organization announced on Sunday, July 2, that more than 183,000 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours, the highest number of infections in a single day since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the organization, Brazil with 54,771 cases and the United States with 36,617 cases had the highest number of infections in a single day. India also reported 15,400 cases in a single day.

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in India has reached more than 425,000, and more than 13,000 people have died from the virus so far.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world has reached almost 9 million, and more than 468 people have died from the disease so far. The United States, Brazil, Russia, and India continue to have the highest number of cases.

This is while the accuracy of the statistics announced by countries such as China, Iran, and Russia is highly questionable, and experts have stated that the actual number of infections and deaths in those countries is very likely many times higher than the official figures.
