Ali Daei rejected FIFA's invitation to attend the big World Cup event

Ali Daei was invited to Qatar to attend the 2022 World Cup with his family, but he declined the invitation.

Ali Daei, born on 4 Bahman 1348, is a retired football player for the Iranian national team and Persepolis club. In addition to playing in the Iranian Premier League, he has also played in the Qatar Stars League, the Emirates League, and the German Bundesliga. He is now a football coach, businessman, entrepreneur, and founder and CEO of Daei Sportswear Company.

Ali Daei always stands by the people and supports them under any circumstances, and this is one of his honors. He also made headlines in recent days for his harsh criticism and verbal altercation with the Ardabil representative in parliament after the death of a teenage girl from Ardabil.

Yesterday, Ali Daei made headlines again for rejecting FIFA's invitation. Ali Daei had spoken on his personal Instagram account about FIFA's official invitation for him and his family to attend the big World Cup event in Qatar. The text he posted on his Instagram page to the public is as follows:

"Greetings to my dear and honorable compatriots.

"In these days when most of us are not feeling well, I declined the official invitation from FIFA and the Qatar Football Federation to attend the World Cup, along with my wife and daughters, in order to be with you in my homeland and express my sympathy to all the families who have lost their loved ones in these days."

Ali Daei also posted another piece of news on his Instagram page in order to sympathize with the Iranian people. He closed his luxurious restaurant called “10 Forever” located in the “Roma Center” shopping mall in Kamranieh, Tehran, for 3 days under the pretext of repairs. These three days coincide exactly with the people’s call for the anniversary of Aban 98. The Iranian people also realized that the repairs were an excuse and the main reason for closing this restaurant was to join the nationwide strikes of the Iranian people during the three days of the last week of Aban.
