"Sasan Chamanara" sentenced to three months in prison and fined

Civil activist Sasan Chamanara was sentenced to three months in prison and a fine by the First Branch of the Ilam Revolutionary Court.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the sentence of "Sasan Chamanara", a citizen living in Ilam, was announced in person by the First Branch of the Ilam Revolutionary Court on Saturday, March 10, to three months of imprisonment and a fine.
Mr. Chamanara, 34, from Ilam, was arrested by security forces on January 17 and transferred to the Ilam Intelligence Department detention center. He was released on bail from the security agency on February 25, and his interrogation session was held on February 29 at the Fourth Investigation Branch of the Ilam Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office on charges of "propaganda against the regime."
He, who has a history of arrests and convictions in the past, has been sentenced to three months in prison, including the time he spent in previous detention, on charges of "propaganda against the regime in favor of hostile groups and media," and to pay a fine of twenty million tomans to the government treasury.
