Suspicious death of "Mansoura Segvand" after ceasing cooperation with the police

"Mansoura Segvand" died under suspicious circumstances last Sunday after ceasing cooperation with the police.

Mansoureh Segvand, a former honorary member of the police force in Khorramabad, a native of Lorestan and a law student living in Abdanan, withdrew from her cooperation with the police force after the 1401 protests began. According to IRNA, Seydnour Alimoradi, head of the pre-hospital emergency department at Ilam University of Medical Sciences, confirmed Mansoureh Segvand's death on Sunday evening (June 5), and announced the cause of death as cardiac and respiratory arrest.

According to Alimoradi, emergency services were dispatched to the scene on Sunday afternoon after a telephone report about the patient with a very low level of consciousness and received the body of Mansoura Segvand, who had suffered from cardiorespiratory arrest and cyanosis. They began resuscitation operations at the scene of the incident and then continued this operation in the ambulance until reaching the hospital. Iraj Safari, head of Rasoul Akram Hospital in Abdanan, also added: "At 3 p.m., an 18-year-old patient named Mansoura Segvand was transferred to the emergency department of Rasoul Akram Hospital in Abdanan by the emergency medical unit with complete cardiorespiratory arrest, but the patient did not have any vital signs. The hospital's emergency personnel immediately began resuscitation operations, and after an hour of efforts, unfortunately, the treatment measures were unsuccessful, and at 4:10 p.m., the emergency doctor ordered the treatment to be stopped and Mansoura Segvand was declared dead."

"Issa Baziar," a civil activist from Abdanan and living abroad, also wrote on his Twitter page: "Mansoureh Segvand, a former police officer from Khorramabad and law student at Abdanan Azad University, died after being released from detention, without any underlying illness, with symptoms of cardiac arrest."

It should be noted that Mansoura Segvand, who was formerly a member of the police force, had stopped cooperating with the police force during the Women, Life, and Freedom protests and had repeatedly supported the protests, and the reason for her arrest was her support and participation in the protests.

Before her death, Mansoura Segvand posted a picture of herself wearing the chador of a female police officer on her Instagram account and wrote: "I, Mansoura Segvand from Lorestan, have worked in the honorary police of the Khorramabad police force. Therefore, I will not have any cooperation with the armed forces and will proudly stand by my compatriots."

Ilam's judicial and security authorities have not yet released any explanation regarding the suspicious death of this young student, who was a former colleague of the Ilam Police Command.

In the past, there have been many regime elements who resigned from their posts after the protests began and sided with the people, but were then arrested for supporting the popular protests. There is no information about their whereabouts or condition, and after a while, they died under suspicious circumstances.
