Miko Peled: Tel Aviv will never be able to defeat the Palestinians

Israeli activist and author Miko Peled stated that Tel Aviv cannot defeat the Palestinians, they will not be defeated.

Following an interview with the Anadolu news network, Miko Peled said, noting that he was born in 1961 into a prominent Zionist family: "My father was an army general and my grandfather was one of the signatories of the founding of Israel. Early in my life, I was very influenced by my father, who served in the Israeli army, but later I regretted it and left the army. When my father was wearing a military uniform after the Six-Day War in 1967, he said: 'Look, we are not looking for opportunities because we are strong. We must allow the Palestinians to build their country.'"

Miko Peled continued his speech, emphasizing that no one thought like his father, adding: "Immediately after the end of the war, they began building large cities in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, eliminating all possible options for the formation of a Palestinian state, because according to Zionism, this land belongs to Israel and the property of the Jews, not the Palestinians."

Regarding the start of the Israel-Gaza war, he continued, noting that the Israel-Palestine war began 75 years ago, not on October 7, saying: "The Zionists declared war as a movement against the Palestinian people, and we have witnessed genocide in this war. But it is quite clear that the Israelis will never be able to defeat the Palestinians, and it does not matter which group they belong to. They will never be defeated."

At the end of his speech, Peled called Israel a terrorist and said: "Israel represents everything bad. Calling for support for Israel will lead to more death, destruction and racism, and that means taking more innocent lives. This is a war against peace and justice."
