Installing L3MON spyware on protesters' mobile phones

Recently, a report has been published on social media that security agents install spy software called L3MON on protesters' phones after arresting them. Also, loved ones from different cities announced that a small microphone was placed in the upper corner of their mobile phone screens, without them having done this themselves or even knowing what it was.

This software will be a security threat to protesters because after installing this software, the phone can be controlled remotely and becomes a spying tool.

In the first step, live tracking is possible. At any moment, there is the ability to track the places where people have visited or are currently traveling.

Immediately after installing this software on the phone, the entire contact list is copied to the control center server.

Why should you worry about your contact list being copied?

Imagine that the contact you have saved is also in the contact list of your friend's friend, who has been arrested. Finally, if you take a look at this data, you will realize that the agents will be able to find out all the communications between the contacts and your friends. They can also send SMS messages to your friends on your behalf without you knowing.

The most important part of the recent hacking incident was the hacking of notification services and SMS services.

Imagine that they have access to your text message list at any moment and can send text messages to your contacts and threaten them.

Your phone is a listening device.

It is possible to record sounds around you and send them to the eavesdropping server. This is one of the most key parts of this software. So in the initial moments of getting your phone back, avoid calling or talking to your friends.

What are the necessary steps after receiving a mobile phone from a security guard?

Turn off your phone. Once you are in a good state, turn on your phone and look for a package called l3mon.etechd.com in your phone's background services list. If you find it or see anything else unusual in the list, delete it immediately. If you are not technically savvy, give the phone to a techie friend in the off state to have them check it.

Please share this information with those around you so that everyone is aware.

Whenever your freedom is taken away under the pretext of security, then you have neither security nor freedom.
