Erdogan's election rival Kilicdaroglu warns Afghanistan, Iran and Syria

Erdoğan's election rival, Kilicdaroğlu, issued a serious warning to refugees from Iran, Afghanistan, and Syria.

Turkey is one of the countries with the largest number of refugees in its country and has hosted Iranian, Afghan and Syrian refugees for years. Although Turkey is a safe country for refugees who have migrated to this country for any reason, there are also problems for them.

One of the problems of refugees is the lack of facilities, including meager salaries, lack of insurance and asylum rights. Turkey receives money from the UN every year for the presence of refugees in its country, but refugees, especially Iranian refugees, do not receive any share of these payments. In some cases, many of them are threatened with deportation.

The 2023 Turkish presidential election will be held in mid-June. Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also a candidate for this election, and another candidate is Kilicdaroglu.

A video posted on social media today shows Kilicdaroglu warning about Turkey's evacuation of refugees after he was elected president. "You can see the Syrian-Turkish border behind me," Kilicdaroglu says in the interview. "We will return our Syrian brothers and sisters to their country within a year at the latest, before the stain of racism is cast on this noble nation of Turkey."

"I want everyone to know this, but at the same time we will be the most powerful country in the region. Iran has opened its border and Afghans who came to Turkey from Iran will also be returned to Iran. Iran, Syria and Afghanistan must understand this, I am saying it clearly and transparently and there is nothing hidden behind us. We have no prejudice or enmity with any country, nation or foreigner, but we want to live freely in our own country. We do not want to change the democratic infrastructure of our country."
