The Center for Human Rights Defenders demanded the names of those killed in the November 2019 protests be announced.

This human rights organization wrote in its statement on Tuesday, November 4, noting that security and military forces arrested many people in response to the November 2019 protests, and that those arrested in the revolutionary courts have faced severe sentences, including the death penalty.

The Center for Human Rights Defenders also emphasized, citing a Reuters report on the killing of 1,500 protesters by security forces, that among the dead were a number of students and people under the age of 18.

According to reports, the number of people killed in the November 2019 protests was between 400 and 1,500. In this regard, despite the passage of a year, the Islamic Republic has still refused to announce the exact number of deaths.
