Sorkhabad Church

The Red Church is a church that has a close relationship with the history of the Iranian railway. The Red Church, measuring three meters by three meters, is located in the village of Sorkh Abad, Savadkouh.
The Sorkh Abad Church dates back to the first Pahlavi period and is located in the village of Sorkh Abad in Savadkoh County. This work was registered as one of the national works of Iran on August 27, 2003 with registration number 9271. The Savadkoh Church, which has a rectangular plan, is located on the eastern side of the Savadkoh Road, 90 kilometers south of Ghaem Shahr, in the village of Sorkh Abad.
This church was built in the early Pahlavi era for religious ceremonies for railway workers and is currently on the verge of complete ruin. The Sorkhabad Church, which is made of brick and plaster and the bottom of the building is thatched, has a galvanized iron roof. The floor of this building is cement and its walls are also covered with white cement. An inscription in Italian is carved on the door of this church. The German Church is the smallest church in Iran.
