Campaign to withdraw money from the bank for self-defense

The people of Iran joined the campaign to withdraw money from banks in legitimate defense against the Islamic Republic regime.

After three months of nationwide protests and repression of the people by the security forces of the Islamic Republic government, the people of Iran took an interesting initiative and decided to launch a campaign to withdraw money from banks in order to deal a heavy blow to the government's economy.

In reports published on social media, including Twitter and Instagram, Iranians announced that they would withdraw their money from the bank and that they would make all purchases in cash and not use bank cards. We must pay taxes or fees to the government for every bank transfer and purchase, but making purchases and transferring money in cash can cause a heavy blow to the government, and in large quantities throughout the country.

Azizi posted on his Instagram page, saying: "My brother is the head of the National Bank, one of the most prestigious branches in Tehran. When I was talking to him today, he said that people's money will be blocked in all banks in the country by January 5. My brother said that the head of the Central Bank also resigned yesterday, but he withdrew his resignation after being beaten up by security forces. He announced that the Islamic Republic has gone bankrupt due to people rushing to banks and withdrawing their assets. My brother said to tell friends and acquaintances to withdraw their assets from the banks. When the situation of state-owned banks is like this, the situation of private banks will be worse."

Another citizen said: "Today I went to the bank to withdraw money. The bank employee said that we don't have cash right now, we have to wait for them to bring it to us. I said I need it and I need to give money to someone else. The bank employee said to make an interbank transfer, and I said that the person wants cash. The bank employee said that we don't have more than 5 or 6 million tomans to give you. But after I shouted and asked why you weren't giving us our own money, they finally gave me 10 million tomans."

The people of Iran launched a call with the theme "Breaking the pillars of the economy, breaking the dictator's yoke," announcing that fellow countrymen should join the campaign to withdraw money from banks. "We are numerous, and in unity we can soon achieve liberation."
