Excerpts from the speeches of representatives at the European Parliament session in Strasbourg, France

The representatives' remarks at the European Parliament session regarding the condemnation of the Islamic Republic indicated the unanimity of all parties in supporting the Iranian people.

Most of the speakers at this meeting began their speeches with the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom." An excerpt from the representatives' speeches at this meeting is as follows:

Didier Reynders: A regime that even kills children should not exist. The European Union has sanctioned sixty individuals and entities in the past three months. We call for the abolition of the death penalty worldwide and for Iran to be held accountable.

Frederico Reyes: The Revolutionary Guard should be placed on the terrorist list and the highest level of sanctions.

Representative of the European People's Party: The Islamic Republic is ruthless and murderous.

Evin Anjir: The slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom" is the crystallization of freedom.

Representative of the Green parliamentary group: There should be an international investigation into the suppression of protests in Iran, and we should sanction the IRGC and all its members.  

Dietmar Käster: The anti-Semitic regime in Iran must go. Our job is to encourage this revolution.

Hannah Newman: The time for appeasement with the Islamic Republic is over.

Howie Looper: Let's stand with the Iranian protesters.

Hermann Terch: The Islamic Republic has taken the entire region hostage through proxy wars.

Cornelia Ernst: We must stop the death penalty in Iran. The Islamic Republic is a child killer and it must go.

Malin Björk: We must stop these executions.

Lucas Mandel: The Islamic Republic is a threat to the free world. This regime is morally rotten from within.

Representative of the Identity and Democracy Faction: We must support the hope for democracy in Iran.

Ernest Ottason: Repression in Iran has reached an unprecedented level of brutality.

Representative of the ECR parliamentary group: The Iranian people are facing one of the greatest enemies of freedom.

All representatives declared that we must support this freedom movement in Iran and properly implement the sanctions that are currently in place.

These representatives also emphasized the need to designate the Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization and hold the Islamic Republic accountable.

The result of this meeting, which is a resolution against the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will be put to a vote tomorrow, Thursday, January 18, 2023, and on January 11.
