Yedioth Ahronoth: Iran postponed attack on Israel at the last minute

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Iran's attack on Israel was postponed at the last minute following a US warning.

Iran's threats against Israel following the airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus prompted Israel to prepare for a possible Iranian response against the country and conduct exercises.

On Thursday morning, April 13, an informed American official reported an exchange of messages with Iranian officials last week. According to CNN, the official said: "The US government has warned Tehran about attacking Israel. Iran, in turn, has warned the US about supporting Tel Aviv."

The American official emphasized that despite the exchange of messages, the United States remains on alert to anticipate and monitor any possible Iranian action.

Many Western and local observers, while referring to research and evaluation of the information obtained, stated that it is likely that Iran will attack the Israeli consulate in the next few days after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, and that it will carry out this attack not through its proxy groups, but directly against military or government bases in Israeli territory through missiles or drones and in a suicide manner.
