434 new deaths from coronavirus, travel restrictions imposed in 25 provincial centers

The number of new coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours has reached 434. The Security, Social, and Law Enforcement Committee of the National Coronavirus Management Headquarters decided to impose travel restrictions in 25 provincial capitals of the country starting Monday afternoon during the upcoming holidays.
The spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health announced an increase in new cases of COVID-19 and the number of deaths due to the coronavirus in the country over the past 24 hours.
According to ISNA, Simasadat Lari said: "From yesterday to today, November 1, 2020, and based on definitive diagnostic criteria, 7,719 new patients with COVID-19 were identified in the country, of which 2,389 have been hospitalized."
With this, the total number of COVID-19 patients in the country has reached 620,491.
"Unfortunately, 434 COVID-19 patients have died in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from the disease to 35,298," Lari added.
He announced the provinces in red conditions as follows: "The provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamedan, Yazd and Kurdistan are in red conditions."
Other provinces are on alert.
Announcement of travel restrictions in 25 provincial centers from Monday afternoon
Hossein Zolfaghari, Deputy Minister of Security and Law Enforcement and Head of the Security, Social and Law Enforcement Committee of the National Headquarters for the Management of the Corona Disease, issued a notice regarding the review of the implementation and nature of restrictions during the upcoming holidays, announcing that decisions have been made in this regard. The notice has 9 paragraphs as follows:
1- As of 12:00 on Monday, 12/08/2020, the exit of private vehicles with local license plates and the entry of private vehicles with non-local license plates from/to 25 provincial centers is prohibited, as described in paragraph 2.
2- The provincial capitals subject to the ban are: Tehran, Alborz, Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Fars, Khuzestan, Kurdistan, Isfahan, Qom, Markazi, South Khorasan, Ardabil, Kermanshah, Bushehr, Hormozgan, Yazd, Lorestan, North Khorasan, Ilam, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Hamedan, Zanjan, Semnan, and Kerman.
3- The implementation of the bans in Tehran and Alborz provinces will begin at the end of their protected areas, and the entry of non-native license plates and the exit of native license plates will be prohibited in a unified manner.
4- The start time of the project is 12:00 on Monday, 12/08/2020.
5- The project's closing time is 24:00 on Friday, 08/16/2020.
6- The traffic police will impose a fine of 500,000 Tomans on violators based on the previously defined code.
7- The provincial headquarters for managing the coronavirus disease should hold a meeting with the relevant agencies to coordinate and support the implementation of the announced restrictions. In this regard, it is necessary for the provincial highway and road transport departments to block non-main roads in coordination with the provincial traffic police.
8- The Information Committee should take continuous and effective action to carry out explanatory measures and reflect decisions in the country's media, including the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation and the press. In this regard, the preparation of necessary announcements and conducting specialized interviews should be considered and taken.
9- Public, police, rescue, medical, service vehicles, and vehicles transporting goods and essential materials are not subject to the specified prohibitions.
