Fear of Religion Being Lost Through Hijab Removal

Alam-al-Hoda declared in his remarks that if we do not confront the removal of hijab, our religion will be lost.
Non-compliance with mandatory hijab is an issue that gained further momentum following the popular uprising after Mahsa Amini’s death due to hijab enforcement. An issue that includes severe penalties for those who violate the mandatory hijab law.
Since the beginning of this year’s spring month, according to Commander Radan’s order, the crackdown on uncovered women intensified to the point that simultaneously with the first anniversary of Mahsa Amini’s death, they returned the morality police to the streets.
In the meantime, Alam-al-Hoda, Khamenei’s representative in Mashhad, declared in his speech: “In this country, some fight against a definite Quranic principle and shamefully remove their hijab. If we only watch this norm-breaking act, religious values will be lost. Removing hijab is a violation of modesty, and we must not remain silent in the face of this religious violation.”
His remarks came at a time when in recent weeks we have witnessed “sodomy” by clerics who claimed to command what is right regarding hijab. Those who not only removed the hijab from their heads but shed modesty from their bodies and engaged in same-sex acts in private, yet on the streets reminded rights-seeking women to observe hijab.
The Islamic Republic government, in the name of religion, pressures, harasses, abuses, assaults, and tortures people, but when it comes to their own agents, tables turn and they speak of Platonic love—claiming that a man’s love for another man is a path to reaching God.
A lie called Islam that they have turned into a tool for oppression, detention, torture, execution, assault, and more. A lie that people believed in until now, but have now awakened and risen to confront it.
