Islamic Republic Circumvents Sanctions Through 14 American Companies

A video that has gone viral on social media pages shows the Islamic Republic circumventing sanctions to manufacture drones.

In this video, a person examines several drones that have been recovered and says: Due to many reasons, this war has turned into a drone war. We use drones for surveillance, as well as for dropping bombs on targets. Now we have access to this drone that the Ukrainians took from the Russians, a large drone called Mohajer that can fly hundreds of feet in the air and is manufactured by Iran. However, Tehran has denied that it is helping Russia in this war. The point is that the manufacturing date of the devices used was in February 2022, which is the date the war began, and as I mentioned, they are used for dropping bombs.

Here we have 76 components that were manufactured by 14 American companies in America. The speaker, pointing to one of the drones, says: This is the first time we are witnessing something like this. Then he shows another drone that is much smaller, which is called Shahed, and then shows a larger drone that can carry up to 40 kilos of explosives, and another that can carry up to 20 kilos. These drones are specifically designed to swoop down on targets like locusts and destroy them.

Now let us examine the drones:

The Shahed 136 is an Iranian suicide drone that has been designed and manufactured since 2021 by HASA, originally designed to neutralize ground targets from a distance.

The presence of this drone in the Ukraine-Russia war has made it more widely known, but Russia has renamed this drone to Geranium-2. Although this drone was provided to Russia for the Ukraine war, Iran has denied the sale of this drone to Russia in all of its statements. On the other hand, Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, announced that superior military powers use military equipment manufactured by Iran.

Ukrainian experts also believe that the Shahed 136 contains components manufactured in Western countries, and uses a computer processor made by several American companies. Also, in examining drones shot down in Russian attacks on Ukraine, it was observed that this drone contained components manufactured in European Union member countries and fuel pumps made by Poland, on behalf of a British company as well.

The Mohajer 6 is also the latest member of the Mohajer drone family, which falls into the category of tactical-combat drones. This drone is in the possession of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Army Ground Forces.

Now here is the point: the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran circumvents sanctions through various means to manufacture drones and sell them to other countries for slaughter, but to import medicine—which is not sanctioned anywhere in the world—it cries out about sanctions and allows its own people to lose their lives due to lack of medicine.

What crime is greater than this—that the lives of a country’s people are worthless to their government? Something we have witnessed for 43 years and continues to this day.
