Explosion in Saravan Kills and Injures Four People

Reuters reported, citing Iran’s government news agency IRNA, that on Sunday, April 1st, an explosion in one of the squares of Saravan city in Sistan and Baluchestan Province killed one person and injured three others.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), in a statement cited by IRNA, described the explosion as “terrorist.”
Previously, a human rights spokesman for the United Nations had reported the killing of at least 23 Baluchis in Saravan and other cities in Sistan and Baluchestan during the last month of the previous year by the IRGC and Islamic Republic security forces.
Direct fire by IRGC forces at a Baluch fuel tanker triggered widespread protests in cities across Sistan and Baluchestan in the last month of the previous year, which were suppressed by security forces and the IRGC.
