Over Two Weeks; 11 Christian Families Summoned to Intelligence Office in Alborz Province

Over the past two weeks, 11 Christian families in Alborz Province have been summoned to the Intelligence Office. Following these summons, they have been asked to sign a commitment letter pledging to refrain from establishing contact with other Christians. It is reported that security officials have threatened these Christians with imprisonment and deportation if they refuse to sign the aforementioned commitment letter.

According to Hrana News Agency, citing Article 18, over the past two weeks, 11 Christian families in Alborz Province have been summoned to the Intelligence Office.

Based on this report, the Ministry of Intelligence has pressured the summoned Christians to sign a commitment letter pledging to refrain from establishing contact and relations with other Christians.

Officials of the Intelligence Office have threatened the Christians with lengthy imprisonment and deportation if they refuse to sign the aforementioned commitment letter.

Security officials stated in this regard: “Even contact with Christians in cyberspace and online is prohibited”.

Some of the Christians summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence include individuals whose homes were searched by security officials on November 12 in Fardis.

This report made no reference to the identity and number of the summoned individuals.
