Shahroud; Father’s Suicide After Killing His 12-Year-Old Daughter
The police commander of Shahroud County in Semnan Province reported the suicide of a man following the murder of his 12-year-old daughter. In this incident, the man in question killed his daughter on her bedroom bed for unknown reasons, and then hanged himself and committed suicide.
According to Hrana news agency, citing ROKNA, a 12-year-old girl named Ariana was killed by her 35-year-old father in Shahroud.
The police commander of Shahroud County stated: At 12:13 on the previous day, a public call was made to the police emergency line 110 regarding a police emergency on Bahman 22 Street in Shahroud. After police arrived at the scene and conducted preliminary investigations, a woman reported to the officers that she had left home about two hours earlier to shop, and upon her return, her husband and daughter were not answering the phone or the door intercom.
Ali Karimi, noting that the personal vehicle of this woman’s husband was parked in such a way that it blocked the opening of the house door, added: This matter increased the suspicion of the officers, and after necessary coordination, firefighters and police entered the house.
This police official clarified: Upon entering the house, the officers encountered the body of a 12-year-old girl on a bed and a man who had hanged himself. Given the evidence at the scene and careful investigation, as well as a written note left by Ariana’s father, the hypothesis that this girl was killed by her father was strengthened.
He continued: Ariana’s father, who was 35 years old, first killed his daughter on her bedroom bed and then hanged himself and committed suicide.
Regarding the cause and motive of this horrific crime, the police commander of Shahroud County stated: This family has been in Shahroud for several months after moving from Tehran, and according to preliminary investigations and examination of Ariana’s father’s background, there is no history of addiction or psychological problems, and any further comment on this matter requires more investigation.
