Continuation of “Sedri Bakhshi” Detention at Urmia Intelligence Detention Center and Threats Against Her Family
“Sedri Bakhshi,” a 43-year-old Kurdish woman from Veshtepeh village in Boukan, remains detained at the Urmia Intelligence Agency detention facility approximately one month after her arrest. Her detention is related to the publication of stories on Instagram, and her family has also been threatened due to media coverage of the case.
The Hengaw Human Rights Organization reported that government forces raided the residence of Sedri Bakhshi in Veshtepeh village, a suburb of Boukan, about one month ago with eight military vehicles. Officers searched the house, arrested her, and confiscated her mobile phone.
According to other released information, the detention of this citizen occurred following the posting of several stories on the Instagram social network in the aftermath of Ali Khamenei’s death during American and Israeli attacks. However, responsible authorities have not provided a clear and public explanation regarding the reasons for her detention or possible charges against her.
According to informed sources, Sedri Bakhshi was able to make only one brief contact with her family during her detention. Furthermore, security agencies have threatened her family that if information about her detention is disclosed, they may face severe judicial sentences.
