Death sentence of Baloch prisoner ‘Idris Jamshidzehi’ carried out

The death sentence of Baloch prisoner ‘Idris Jamshidzehi’ was carried out early this morning.
Idris Jamshidzehi, 45, a resident of ‘Tigh Ap’ village in Iranshahr, was arrested in 2017 on charges of murdering ‘Seyyed Abdolkarim Sajadi’, a Basij commander. After torture, he was forced into a coerced confession, but repeatedly rejected the charges against him in court.
Abdolkarim Sajadi, a member of the Basij and Revolutionary Guards in the ‘Bazmaan’ and ‘Iranshahr’ regions, was killed in front of his home in Iranshahr in April 2017. Idris Jamshidzehi, who was arrested on charges of murdering Sajadi, was sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court, Branch Two Criminal Division, in Zahedan.
Early this morning, Thursday, July 19, 2024, his death sentence for the murder charge was carried out at Zahedan Central Prison. Jamshidzehi was a father of five children and worked in agriculture in his village.
It should be noted that Seyyed Abdolkarim Sajadi, who was a member of the Basij and Revolutionary Guards in Iranshahr, was recruiting young Baloch men to be sent to the Syrian war under the title of ‘Shrine Defenders’.
