Ahmad Khatami: Last year's events were riots, not protests

Ahmad Khatami announced in a speech that last year's events were not protests but riots.
Ahmad Khatami, a member of the Assembly of Experts, said in a speech referring to last year's popular revolution: "God has blessed this system and has kept dangers away from it for more than 40 years, dangers many of which were the threat of overthrowing the system. The events of last year were riots, not protests, and in these events we witnessed the burning of the Quran, the burning of the flag, insults to religious scholars, insults to mosques and shrines, etc.
But our nation bravely slapped the enemy in the face and said: "O fly, the arena of the Simorgh is not yours, but yours." The result of the defeat of the riots was the attack of the Albanian police on the headquarters of the MKO. They should know that wherever they go from Albania to anywhere in the world, they will be humiliated. Now we are telling the rioters of last year that those riots were defeated and any other riots they create in the house of Imam Hussein, that is, Iran, will be crushed and crushed under the feet of the people."
Ahmad Khatami's words about the defeat of the riots come while the Iranian people are still on the streets protesting the overthrow of the regime. Not only in protest against the overthrow of the regime, but also girls and women are still on the streets and in public places without observing the mandatory hijab.
The Iranian people have also prepared a call for the first anniversary of the killing of Mahsa Amini, which coincided with the uprising of the popular revolution, and on this day, everyone will fan the flames of the revolution to overthrow the regime. The Iranian people have prepared and distributed leaflets in all cities regarding this call in the hope of Iran's victory.
