Haft Tappeh sugarcane workers declare solidarity with the 40th anniversary of the deaths: "The 5th of January is a historic day!"

The independent Haft Tappeh Workers' Channel issued a statement on the morning of Thursday, January 25, calling the day "a joint day of our rightful protests for equality and freedom."

In a statement of solidarity from Haft Tappeh sugarcane workers, published on their independent channel, November 25 of this year was described as "one of the most important days in Iran's history."

The statement reads: "On January 5, in memory of and commemoration of more than a thousand people who lost their lives in the just protests of November 1399, the entire country is witnessing a new wave of protests."

The authors of the statement emphasized that the memory and commemoration of the victims of the November protests "will only be properly and appropriately honored if the path of equality and freedom is taken with more serious determination and the banner of the struggle for equality and freedom is raised higher."

The authors of the statement concluded by writing: "The 5th of December will be one of the most influential and memorable days in the history of our country's struggles. This day is an important day among all the days of struggle of workers, toilers, and wage earners, and a common day of our all-just protests for equality and freedom."
