Human Rights Watch criticizes Rouhani government's performance in the case of the star-studded students

Human Rights Watch has published a report on the situation of star-studded students in Iran.

Referring to the situation of students who have been prevented from continuing their education due to political activities, the report writes that Hassan Rouhani strongly attacked Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during the 2013 presidential election campaign, accusing him of having many students who had become star-studded and had been prevented from studying during his presidency.

The report says, however, that during Rouhani's presidency, only 40 of the 500 requests submitted to lift the ban on education were processed.

The Human Rights Watch report refers to the situation of Zia Nabavi, one of the starred students, who wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday that according to the Ministry of Intelligence, he has been denied the right to continue his studies.

This international human rights organization continues its report by writing that this is the time of year when many postgraduate candidates who have taken the relevant exams find out that they have been denied the opportunity to continue their studies.
